Licence and Attribution
The thesis text and poster are submitted to Palacký University Olomouc as part of the master’s degree requirements and are subject to the university’s academic publication policies.
Fire detection data used in this project is sourced from the NASA Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS). FIRMS data are produced by NASA and are available for non-commercial research and educational use. See firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov for terms of use.
Weather data are sourced from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) under their open data licence for non-commercial use.
Cesium for Unity is used under the Apache 2.0 licence. NetTopologySuite and NetTopologySuite.IO.ShapeFile, installed via NuGet for Unity, are used under their respective open-source licences.
The pipeline requires no paid license and avoids proprietary GIS platforms, but is not composed exclusively of open-source parts: the fire and smoke particle effects are third-party assets under licences that do not permit redistribution, and Cesium ion's terrain/imagery streaming is used under a free tier that excludes commercial use. A practitioner can rebuild the pipeline at no cost, but a working build cannot be produced from the source repository alone without separately acquiring those assets.
